Love Gives Way in a Radical Love Photoshoot!!

Here’s a sweet peek, as well as a list of all of the vendors involved!

What’s on YOUR holiday wish list?

I love that the holidays are a great time of year to give and receive special gifts from loved ones.  Instead of getting another gift card or another pair of pajamas (which are great gifts) this season, why not ask a loved one to spread some holiday joy and help pay for those chiavari chairs you really want at your reception, contribute to the florals you want to grace your ceremony, or upgrade your photography package?

This way, you involve loved ones in the process and you get the vendors and upgrades you really want! You will be surprised at how willing loved ones may be to help, and how special they will feel because they played a special role in making your wedding dreams come true!
Warm holiday wishes,

And the winner is…..

Help!! I’m in way over my head!

It’s rare that I have a Saturday evening to catch a breath, but a few weekends ago we wrapped up our participation as a sponsor in a local charity golf tournament so I was home before nightfall. When I’m trying to wind down I like to tune into reality shows that display the before and after of homes, wardrobes, and now restaurants! ‘Restaurant Impossible’ is a show hosted by an expert chef and restaurateur who helps struggling restaurant owners dig their way out of debt, bad menus, poor service, or whatever is keeping their business from thriving.

This was my first time watching the show, but I was a little surprised by how each of the restaurant owners lacked experience in the business and really just didn’t know what to do next. They had poured many months of effort and thousands of dollars in a business that they inherited or just bought because at the time it seemed like a good idea. But in fact, they were in way over their heads.

When you’re planning a special event, particularly a wedding, it can feel like you’re in way over your head. There are so many choices to make, so many people to please, so many places your money is going, and it can take away from the fun of planning your special day! What I learned from this show is that there is nothing wrong with asking for help. Calling in the experts can help you save money, save time, and save yourself from feeling overwhelmed, so that you can truly celebrate the special occasion!

Wishing you the best,

What’s in a name??

Everything! When I first embarked upon this Sweet Seats journey and before I had the name, I prayed for a business name that would be not only be catchy, but that would also capture the essence of the business.   I’m now trying my hand at blogging and in doing so, want to have a real ‘sweet’ name for my blog. One thing that continues to be VERY apparent in running a business is that I rely on the heads and the hands of other talented and dedicated folks to make this operation work.  While continuing along this journey and experiencing successes and lessons daily, I have learned that I don’t have to have all of the answers.  In fact, I won’t ever have all of the answers, and I will always be open to new ideas.

Thus, I would love to get some ideas on what to name the Sweet Seats blog, and I have a super ‘sweet’ treat for the entry that is selected.  How does a $25 gift card sound? Sounds pretty ‘sweet’ to me, especially right before the holidays! I would love to hear your ideas and look forward to more blogging fun! The winner will be announced on the Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend. Email me! cheryl@sweetseatsatl.com

Sweet Regards,
