Wedding and event season is upon us once again Friend, and as you make decisions about which vendors will be a part of your special day, think about if their actions lead you to T.R.U.S.T. them. A couple of weeks ago I had an event planner call me in a panic because a vendor they paid in full was not responding to their calls or emails about an event that was two days away. They were so desperate that they began a new search for another vendor to provide a service that had already been paid in full. My heart went out to them! Just yesterday though, my heart was warmed after I met with a new client who recently moved to Atlanta and they said, ‘it’s nice to have an honest resource in the city’.
This reminded me about how important it is for you to T.R.U.S.T. your vendors. Vendors who Totally Respect, Understand, & Stay Truthful to their commitments are vendors you want to entrust with your special day! Communication with prospective vendors is so key in making these important decisions about your milestone occasion, so note how long it takes for vendors to return your phone calls and emails, while checking blogs, discussion boards and online advertisers to see if any reviews have been communicated about the vendor. Whenever I first interact with a prospective client, I think of it as a job interview, and the client has the power to hire me or not.
