Sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite!!

Isn’t that what you heard as a child?  “Sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite!”  I’ve been moved recently by so many discussion board postings from brides who say they are having nightmares about their weddings and especially about vendors not showing up on their big day.

As a vendor, you are entrusting us with your milestone celebrations, which in the overall scheme of things, is quite an honor!  Brides entrust us with providing seating for hundreds of guests at their once-in-a-lifetime nuptials, corporate executives entrust us to deliver chairs for events celebrating their vice-president’s 40 year career at the company, families who gather only once each year entrust us to ensure that each family member has somewhere to sit during their reunion activities.

When I take time to think about an event schedule, I recognize that these are more than just names on a calendar.  They are real people who want to feel as though we ‘loooove the work’ of renting specialty seating for people who place their very special occasion in our hands.

In this type of work I consult with clients who are often undecided about various event details and stressed about how everything is going to come together.  Clients who may be over budget and need vendors who can help solve their event budget dilemmas.  Venues with a lot of restrictions for loading and unloading items.  Events that start early and end late, which means we have to get there even earlier and leave even later.

When all is said and done, it’s so rewarding to see the fruits of your labor.  Yes, it’s tough, sweaty, and tiring work but we are so blessed and humbled to be a part of our clients’ milestone occasions, so I can enthusiastically say, “I looooove the work!” This is why I do what I do! More than anything, I want our clients to rest easy about their event and sleep tight, knowing their event is in good hands!!

Sweet dreams,
